PADILLA HABANO - A Nutty Smoke

This is a smooth nutty tasting cigar that had a good draw, burned evenly, and never had to be re-lit.  In recent experience I can compare it favorably to Pinar del Rio Oscuro Lancero (My CS Rating of 2.0) and Padilla Corojo (My CS Rating of 2.5).  I prefer earthy tasting cigars like a Punch Rare Corojo.  CS Rating = 3.0

  1. I generally agree with Diamond E's assessment, as far as the taste of the
Padilla Habano, which is made by the talented AJ Fernsndez. However, I score
this stogie a solid 3.5 because of its smooth, rich flavor. It is not as
complex as the PDR Oscuro(4.0), but better than the average Punch Rare Corojo(3.0). --Mamey

  2. Well now. I also recently enjoyed the Padilla Habano and found it to be spittin' distance of a CS 4.0 -- it is what a stogie could be. It burned evenly and as pleasant throughout. And that's the way that Festus calls it.

  3. I took a box of these to a party last night. There were also Te Amos and Toraños there, but the Padilla Habano was the favorite by far. People enjoyed its smooth, creamy flavor. The PDRs are undoubtedly more complex, the PH is a good cigar for those who are relatively new to the sweet life.--Mamey
